The Modelling, Monitoring and Control Group of the European
Federation of Biotechnology invite you to attend a tutorial course
in Chemometrics. A two days event especially designed for scientists
and engineers active in the (bio)processes field. In fact,
Chemometrics can be defined as
…the science that uses mathematical and statistical
methods to design or select optimal procedures and experiments, and
to provide maximum chemical information by analyzing chemical data.
"CHEMOMETRICS - Make it simple" is designed for those who wish to
explore the problem solving power of chemometric tools, but are
discouraged by the high level of mathematics found in many software
manuals and texts. Course emphasis is on proper application and
interpretation of chemometric methods as applied to real-life
problems. The objective is to teach in the simplest way possible so
that participants will be better chemometrics practioners and
managers.
A hands-on-experience session involving
Mid-IR spectroscopy will provide the opportunity to implement some of
the methods studied during the theoretical part of the course.
